In the Gambia, west Africa, the government is able to provide free education for all elementary school students. Junior high and high school students can only go to school if they can afford it. But school in the Gambia is very inexpensive by Western standards. For only $60 for a whole school year, a student can go to "junior secondary school" (junior high), and for only $130 for a whole school year, a student can go to "senior secondary school" (high school). Please help sponsor a student! You can make a donation of any amount, or, if you would like to sponsor a student for a year, we will match you up with a specific student and you will receive their name and contact information. |
|
As soon as proper accounting procedures are in place, multiple options will be offered for donation methods. Please call the New Hope Academy Office at 301-459-7311 to arrange to make a donation.

| It's difficult to capture the pride that the people of this village have in this undertaking. The adults are overjoyed that their children can receive an education that few, if any, of them could. They also stressed that by connecting with New Hope Academy families, their world would expand and they could experience brothers and sisters as yet unknown to them. [Village of Daru] |
