New Hope Academy students win Patriots Technology Summit Challenge!

("Wonder of science on display at annual technology summit: Competitions, workshops and exhibitors plug youth into potential careers" - Gazette)

Congratulations to Hashim Muhammad, Francis Marchitelli, and Robert Abendroth for winning at this year's Patriots Technology Summit Challenge on Saturday, April 26th, 2008. These students broke the all-time record, scoring more points during the Jeopardy Game competition at the 11th annual Patriots Science & Technology Youth Summit than anyone has ever scored in past years. Each student received a Laptop!

Session VI "Teen Talk: An Open Forum on Issues Facing Young People"

The Prince George's County Council, in partnership with Prince George's Community College, and the Prince George's Youth Commission, joined educators, parents, students and community leaders for a special session of the Prince George's Community Leadership Institute on Thursday, March 13. Session VI, "Teen Talk: An Open Forum on Issues Facing Young People," was held at 7:00 p.m. at the Community College.
