History of the school
We are a superb international, PreK3-12 private school, located in Prince George's County, Maryland. Founded in 1990 by parents who desired a different type of school, New Hope Academy focuses on the education of the whole child, including the intellect, health, creativity, and social-emotional development, including character, emotions, and heart.
Certified Private School
New Hope Academy is a Maryland-certified private school in Prince George's County, MD (near Washington, D.C.) dedicated to academic excellence, personal attention, and character-building. Students come to our school from Bowie, Cheverly, College Park, Glendale, Greenbelt, Hyattsville, Lanham, Largo, Laurel, Mitchellville, New Carrollton, Riverdale, Upper Marlboro, University Park, and many other parts of Prince George's County, as well as from Washington DC and Montgomery County, MD.
International Exchange Programs
New Hope Academy is SEVIS approved. This means we are authorized under federal law to enroll nonimmigrant students (I-20). International applicants typically apply to attend high school. It is possible for younger siblings to attend NHA if host families are available.
