Research shows students have greater success when parents are involved in the child's school. NHA's Family Engagement Program assists in providing a safe and creative environment that builds the bridge from School to Home! Parents, grandparents and other adult family members or guardians may contribute their time by reading to students, volunteering at book fairs, serving on the PTO board or a committee. Additional opportunities include assisting classroom teachers with special projects, chaperoning field trips or serving at special events.
Family involvement is an integral part of our New Hope success story. Therefore, NHA requires each family FAQ (regardless of how many children attend the Academy) to volunteer 20 service hours per school year, averaging five hours per quarter.
